Make sure that you have a good (hopefully written) record of informing your employer of your restrictions. By working beyond your doctor's limitations, you run the risk of further injury to yourself. If your employer fails to provide work within the restrictions and your condition is in a "temporary" state then you can draw a weekly temporary disability check from workers' compensation.
