Answer
You must be able to prove that you are unable to perform substantial gainful work activity that exists in significant numbers in the economy. Social Security will consider all of your health problems, your age, education and work experience to arrive at their decision. Each case is determined on an individual basis. In general, the burden is on you to prove that you cannot perform any of the jobs you've had in the last 15 years. If you can prove that, the burden then shifts to Social Security to prove or determine if you can perform any other work.
